The essential glasses maintenance kit
Taking care of your glasses is a number one priority. But what is the essential maintenance kit needed?
The first thing is liquid cleaner. Warm water will suffice, but the proper cleaning solution is far more thorough. There are many brands out there so research is essential. Perhaps ask your optician for their advice or find out what the makers of your glasses recommends. Then once you have the liquid you need why not separate it into lots of little individual pots. This way you can easily transport it from place to place and keep your lenses in tiptop shape at all times.

Once you have your cleaning solution you will need the ideal cleaning cloth. No glasses will look their best unless a cloth has buffed them. The ideal cloth is one that is soft and specifically designed for glasses. If they are specifically designed this means they are made of a material that will remove dust and dirt whilst giving extra shine and polish to the lens.
The next important item is a mini screwdriver that fits the screws in your glasses. No matter how much care you give your glasses you will find that at times the screws may come loose. This should be tightened immediately or you could run the risk of your lens falling out and smashing everywhere. So if you have the right screwdriver at hand you will not have to deal with this unfortunate scenario.
However, you may be caught out if you have to screw your own glasses as you may be unable to see that close up without your glasses, and as you are mending your glasses you are not wearing them. My solution is to have an old pair or spare pair of glasses in your maintenance kit. This way you can slip them on and be able to see while you mend your others.
Finally you will need a case to keep all this in. A hard case is ideal as it can double up as an emergency glasses case if your own goes missing, as they so often do. So put this kit together and you will eliminate many of those glasses worries.
