Delay Wrinkles Today

Aging is the most natural thing in the world, and we shouldn’t hang on to our youth, rather, we should learn to enjoy every moment of our life, and embrace years with elegance. Wrinkles are the result of the loss of moisture and elasticity that happens as we age, inevitably. However, there’s a few things we can do to delay the aging process and either postpone or soften the appearance or wrinkles.

Protect your skin from the sun. It is said that the skin “has memory”, meaning that if you get sunburnt often as a teenager or in your twenties, your skin might heal easily right away, but those sunburns will take their toll on your skin as you grow older. This happens because as you get older, the control of inflammation, production of natural collagen and your skin’s ability to retain water behaves in such way that boosts the formation of wrinkles. Today, the sun is not the same it was twenty years ago, and we’re all aware of the risk of skin cancer. If that risk is not enough for you to start protecting your skin with sunblock, vanity could persuade you. Don’t get overexposed to sun.

Consume antioxidants. Antioxidants like those present in pomegranates, acai, blueberries and green tea, help your body defend against free radicals (volatile molecules created by UV rays when absorbed by your skin). Antioxidants slow down and even prevent the oxidation of other molecules.

Wear sunglasses. They are good for two purposes: protecting the delicate skin around your eyes from the sun and preventing squinting, which contributes directly to the appearance of wrinkles.

Stop Smoking. Heavy smokers increase their chances of showing excessive wrinkling five times more than nonsmokers. Smoking damages collagen and slows down your blood flow, which carries oxygen throughout your body.

Keep your skin clean. Cleanse your skin after a whole day wearing make-up and before going to bed. If you don’t wear make-up often, you still should wash your face as pores get blocked due to pollution present in the air. If you apply a moisturizer on 0000000 +— uncleansed skin, you’ll be just losing the money you spent on it, as your pores won’t be open to absorb it.

Use an anti-ageing cream. Consult your dermatologist regarding the most suitable cream for your skin. If you apply all these healthy habits and also moisturize your skin often, you are bound to achieving great results.
